　　I would like to have a chance to get ahead.

　　I'd like to have a chance of a pay raise.

　　What job are you applying for?

　　I'd like a secretarial job in the clerical department.

　　I'd like an office job inthe personnel department.

　　Do you understand the duties?

　　I'm not quite sure, but I think it should be typing, filing and answering phones.

　　OK. You have the seniority and I know you can do the job.

　　Do you understand probation?

　　Yes, I think so.

　　I have 30 days to learn the job, right?

　　No problem.
